The exclusive Melia Sancti Petri Hotel is located right next to the sea on La Barrosa Beach and is a reference point for superior quality business and leisure travel.
The architecture, a stunning combination of Moorish palace and Andalusian hacienda, reflects the essence of traditional southern Spain yet with all of the most modern comforts.
The hotel has its own private 18-hole golf course and is less than 5 minutes from another 4 golf courses in Chiclana. The hotel was designed by the architect Álvaro Sans and exudes the tranquillity, flavour and magnificence of a classical Andalusian palace.
Opened in 1999, it became the first 5 star hotel in the region. Since then numerous VIP guests have stayed here, including HRH King Juan Carlos I of Spain, as well as famous celebrities such as Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry.
The hotel has two distinct areas: the first is a beautiful courtyard surrounded by archways where gardens and fountains create a perfect atmosphere perfect for rest and relaxation. The courtyard passages are also home to three of the hotel's restaurants, the Don Juan Bar, the Alberti Theater Café and the Beauty Farm.
The second area of the hotel is located around the huge swimming pool (nearly 70m2) and has direct access to La Barrosa beach. The majority of the rooms are located around the swimming pool. Guests can soak up the sun by the pool, order cocktails from the bar, work out in the well-equipped gym, and unwind in the Health Spa.

The 225 guestrooms at Melia Sancti Petri have colourful Moorish design; all offer balconies, air conditioning, satellite TV and Internet access. All have an attractive Andalusian ambience and are also equipped with the most modern facilities to guarantee your comfort and rest. Available with a choice of a King-size double bed or two twin beds on arrival at the hotel. All provide fantastic views over our outdoor swimming pool and beach, the golf course and beach, or the exclusive Novo Sancti Petri development and the beach.
Hotel Facilities
Guests at Melia Sancti Petri can swim in the large pool, order cocktails from the bar, work out in the gym, and take part in organised sports and activities.
