2 Stunning 18 Hole Courses - Cholla and Saguaro
When We-Ko-Pa's Cholla course opened in 2001, it rapidly became one of the most popular courses in all of Arizona. Golfers were thrilled by the excellent layout, absence of invasive real estate and spectacular mountain views, seen from just about every hole. Built on the Fort McDowell Yavapai Indian reservation, and now joined by a second and equally impressive companion (the Saguaro course), the Cholla course roams its way over a large area of pristine Sonoran desert. Needless to say, cholla and saguaro cactuses are much in evidence beyond the good-width fairways. You might be forgiven for thinking on your first outing, that a caddie or Indian guide would be useful to point out the driving line on one or two of the opening holes. However, as this immensely scenic course unfolds you will be drawn into its charms and challenges, and will no doubt revel in the naturalness of the desert environment and magnificence of the views.The Saguaro course has been created with the possibility of walking your way round, and like the Cholla, there is no invasive real estate anywhere in sight. The new layout has already won a huge number of admirers, delivering challenging and immensely scenic golf, with natural desert and stunning mountain scenery all around
