The Highlands

An area full of history, romance, wildlife, scenic beauty and easy access to both well and lesser known courses. Green fees in the Highlands are still well within everyones budget.

Aviemore with its mountains, pine-clad slopes and river valley setting is part of the Cairngorms National Park, which at 3800 square kilometers, is the largest in Britain. As well as high mountain tundra and rocky passes, moorlands and forests, marshlands and lochs, Aviemore’s best known visitor in summer is the Osprey. The Spey Valley which incorporates Aviemore, is a chain of attractive little towns and villages along the river valley and home to the Championship Spey Valley golf course.

Nairn is a classic Victorian seaside resort that is renowned for its golf and fine beaches while Inverness the capital of the Highlands is situated in an enviable location at the head of the Great Glen. The shores of the Moray Firth make it an ideal base for a Highland Golfing Holiday and offers everything from museums, pipers, shopping and the world renowned Loch Ness - a 24 mile long Loch and home to ‘Nessie’ (the Loch Ness Monster).

Golspie
Golspie is a quiet, friendly Highland village located in the centre of the East coast of Sutherland. The village boasts an award winning beach and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. A variety of activities are on offer in the area including Sea Angling, Deer Stalking, Falconry and Canoeing.

As well as the course there are many attractions and amenities for visitors to enjoy. Dunrobin castle is the ancestral home of the Earls of Sutherland and the statue of the First Duke is sited at the top of Ben Bhraggie. The statue can be reached by footpath, providing magnificent views from the summit. The Big Burn waterfall is set in the finest and most beautiful small gorge in Sutherland and is only 20 minutes walk from the North end of the village.

Brora is a village on the north east coast of Scotland where the first electricity in the north was generated hence the village nickname of "The Electric City". Visitors are always welcome as they are seen as a help to the local economy, with The Royal Marine Hotel and the Links apartments attracting golfers to the area.
