Casa Velha do Palheiro Palheiro Golf

Located in the hills above Funchal. Casa Velha enjoys a unique location situated between the renowned Palheiro Gardens and the Palheiro Golf Course. Originally built in 1804 as a hunting lodge, it was totally restored as a hotel in 1997. Direct access to Palheiro Golf Course and priviledged tee offs from the 'Halfway House' make Casa Velha an ideal choice for golfers. The hotel's restaurant is renowned as one of the best on the island and the Palheiro clubhouse is ideal for lunch.

The new Palheiro Spa is a world class addition to this island paradise. Located within the Palheiro Estate, the new spa is a perfect complement to the existing attractions at the Casa Velha. Palheiro Spa includes four treatment rooms, a Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.  The spa complex also includes a fitness room equipped with a power plate, treadmill, bicycle, rowing machine and weights. A personal trainer can be arranged on request.
